COL Cool condition. If water temperature drops 20ºF below set temperature, low speed pump and heater activates to bring temperature within 15º of set temperature.
FL1 Water flow problem, inhibited or pressure switch malfunction. Check for proper spa water level and ensure pump is primed. Check for clogged filter.
FL2 Pressure switch problem. Switch closed while pump is deactivated.
ICE Freeze condition. 55ºF detected. Low speed pump and heater will activate until spa reaches 65ºF.
OH High temperature condition, has reached 110ºF. Do not enter the spa. Low speed pump (and air blower if so equipped) will activate to assist in lowering temperature.
Sn1 Nonfunctional high temperature sensor. Heater is deactivated.
Sn2 Nonfunctional temperature sensor. Heater is deactivated.
HL High limit switch tripped.
hot Overheating, water over 112° F. System will restart when temp. drops.

PSoC Pressure switch open with circulating pump. PSoH Pressure switch open with high pump. PSoL Pressure switch open with low pump.
SEoP Sensor open or disconnected. Heater disabled but the spa is operational.
SESH Sensor short, nonfunctional. Heater disabled but the spa is operational.
ToE Time out error. Rare system error. Spa unusable.
(---) Unknown water temperature. (Displays when first powered up after refill).

gFI GFCI Failure - The Control System Could Not Trip the "GFCI" (gFI).
The spa has determined that a GFCI is NOT properly installed in the circuit providing power to the spa, because an attempt was made to trip the GFCI and the expected power shut-down did not occur.
HFL Substantial difference between temperature sensors detected. Could indicate a flow problem. Check for All of the following Conditions:
Low Water Level.
Blocked Suction Fitting.
Blocked Skimmer.
Dirty Filter.
Too Many Closed Jets.
Closed Slice Valve.
Heat Related Pump Not Running.
Heat Related Pump Not Primed.
ICE Potential freeze condition has been detected
ILOC Interlock failure - possible pump or ozone spike.
LF Persistent low flow problems. (Displays on the 5th occurrence of "HFL" message with 24 hours). Heater is shut down, but other spa functions run normally.
OH Sensors reading 112-118° F.
OHH Overheat. Spa has shut down. One sensor has detected 118º F at heater.
OHS Overheat. Spa has shut down. One sensor has detected 110º F.

rCA Change Mineral Cartridge - Time to "Change Mineral Cartridge Reminder" (rCA)
Install a New Mineral Cartridge per Manufacturers Instructions. Press "Mode" Button to Clear Message. All Reminder Messages can be Disabled through the Topside Panel Users Menu.
Note: The Balboa Default is to have this Message Disabled. Some Spa Brands or Models may have this Message Enabled, and the Interval between these Messages will be whatever the Spa Manufacturer has selected.
rCH New Filter - Time to "Change Filter Reminder" (rCH)

SAL Sanitizer Low - At the ORP Sensor, the "Sanitizer Level is Low" (SAL).
With an ORP Sensor Installed in the System, the Sanitizer Level is Below 740 and needs to be Corrected. Add Sanitizer according to Manufacturers Instructions.
Note: If you do Not have an ORP Sensor installed in the Spa System, you should Never get this Message. Contact your Dealer or Service Organization.
SBY Standby - The Spa is Operating in the "Standby" (SbY) Mode.
All Automatic Spa System Functions are Disabled so that Pumps and Blower will not turn ON Automatically. This Mode allows the User to Replace or Clean a Pressure Side Filter Cartridge without Equipment turning ON unexpectedly. Press any Button except "Jets 1" to Exit and Return to Normal Operation.
SE Spa operating in Standard-in-Economy Mode.
SF Safety Suction, Spa is shut down.
SL Indicates spa is in Sleep mode
Sn1 Hi-limit sensor malfunction
Sn3 Temp sensor malfunction
SnA Spa is shut down. Sensor plugged into jack A is not working.
Snb Spa is shut down. Sensor plugged into jack B is not working.
SnS Sensors out of balance. If alternating with temp, may be temporary condition. If display shows only this message (blinking) spa is shut down.
